For the second issue in a row, Complex teamed up with DF•C to stylize their logo for the cover featuring musician Drake. Working again with art director Tim Leong, the assignment was to mimic the streaks of light that headlights and taillights of cars generated with long exposures. The idea was to make the logo look as if it had come to a screeching halt leaving a light trail behind it so that it would work with the actual blurred lights on the cover. We used a combination of CGI and digital matte painting to create an effect that seamlessly integrated with the actual photography.
